In 2006 I was introduced to needle felting. I have developed a love for this unique art. All my pieces are made of solid wool and the wool comes from our flock of Romney Sheep. We process the wool here on our farm. I currently demonstrate with the Woolly Women at local festivals and shows. I give needle felting classes and sell wool and needle felting kits. Most of my pieces are inspired by our farm animals or animals in the wild. I first take or find many pictures of the animal from all angles. I then Sculpt the animal out of wool as I study the pictures. I strive to make them as realistic as possible. There is often a story to go along with the sculptures, as they are made to resemble our favorite pets/Farm animals or were inspired by an encounter with an animal in the wild!
